Next up: Our Sealing

Technically if I was doing this in chronological order like I intended, the next thing I would post would be when Austin and I found out we were pregnant with Navy girl. Since my very first post was about that i'm going to fast forward to our sealing day!

After we were married in 2011 we decided our next goal in life would be to get sealed together in the temple! Our goal was to get sealed a year from our wedding date, and just so happens 2012 was Leap Year so our anniversary landed on a Monday!
I was really excited when I came to the realization that we would be able to get sealed on our Anniversary.

We started the preparation process,we started going to the Temple Prep on Sunday's and meeting with the bishop regularly. I was so excited to get to experience this with my awesome husband! About halfway through our process of preparing to go through the temple I found out I was pregnant. It made me really happy to know that our little bundle of joy would be born into a family that was sealed in the temple for "time and all eternity."

So, to our sealing day. We didnt invite many people. Actually we just invited family and a select few friends. October 1st 2012 was an amazing day. I was almost 10 months pregnany, so fitting into my temple clothes was kind of a challenge but I did it, even though I was EXTREMELY hot. Austin and i decided we would take our endowments out the day we got sealed. That way family from out of town would only have to endure one day of festivities. We had to be the temple at 7:40 a.m with our endowed family members. I went with my mom and Austin went with his dad. I was really nervous right before I walked into the temple. Although, as soon as I walked through that revolving glass door and saw the Brother who was scanning temple recommends smile and welcome us, a sense of calmness and joy overcame me. The St. George, UT temple was beautiful inside. Everyone was in white and smiling. I can only imagine that is what heaven may be like. We were escorted to our different areas and went through our endowment sessions with ease. It was beautiful. I was so grateful to have my wonderful husband to experience that with for the first time.

One memory I will never forget is when we were being sealed together. The sealer had made a comment about my pregnant state of being and how that little person inside my tummy was so grateful and happy that her parents choosing to be together forever along with our posterity. That resignated with me so deep that I will never forget that moment. In that moment everything was right in the world. My hot sweaty pregnant body was no longer and issue, that little bit of morning sickness that still lingered minutes before was completely dismissed, and I was sitting next to my eternal companion, surrounded by loving family and a few friends in that beautiful celestial room.
We were the last of all of Austin's siblings to be sealed. I know that day was also very special to his parents, that everyone of their children were worthy to be in that room together. That room was exquisite and what was even more amazing is that Austin's Grandparents, his parents and now us had all been sealed in that same room.

After the sealing everyone decided to meet up for lunch at the go to place for big family get togethers.
Chuck-a-rama of course.

Being sealed to Austin was one of the best decisions I have ever chosen to make in life and am so grateful for him and how he honors his Preisthood. I am so happy to say that our little family will reap the benefits of our decsicion that day for years to come. I am grateful to set an example for our children, and hope that they make that decision for themselves too.

October 1, 2012 was a beautiful, glorious day.

Married Life

So, I've decided to start my posts from where our little family first begins.
When Austin and I tied the knot!
We decided to get married on October 1st of 2011. I thought the end of October would be a nice time to get married, but when I brought this date up do Aust it was shut down pretty quick because of the fact that they had to "do cows" at the end of October, followed by the dear hunt and his birthday. That obviously was not going to work for him so we agreed upon October 1st. This was probably the one and only thing he really had a say in. Everything else he just went along with.
To the wedding day. IT WAS AMAZING! I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful wedding. We decided to have our wedding and our reception at the same place since it would cut down on cost. We ended up picking the Stephen Wade Alumni House. It was perfect and just what i wanted.

We had our wedding in the morning. It was a beautiful day, still a little warm, but that was expected living in St. George.  I hadn't seen Austin since the morning before. I got my hair and makeup done at my parents house and then drove over to the ceremony to get my dress on and do the last minute touch ups.

I walked down the stairs to meet my dad. Our ceremony was outside in the back yard and we were going to be walking out the back doors to get to the isle. When I was talking to my parents ad brothers by that door. It all hit me, I was getting married today! This is the day that most girls dream about since they were little, and today was my day to live that dream. I was very nervous but so overwhelmed and excited to see my hunny on the other side of those doors.
My Brothers were the ring bearers, so they went first.  After they sat down, I took a big breath and I knew it was my turn. My dad and I walked out those doors and i wasn't sure if i was going to laugh of cry! When i saw Austin my heart melted. The journey down the isle was somewhat tough since i decided to wear heels, and my isle was grass. I had to grasp onto my dad with every step so i wouldn't sink into the ground.
I got up the the front where Austin and Bishop Paul were standing. To this day I dont remember much of what was said, but I remember looking into Austin's eyes and being so overwhelmed with joy and happiness.

Our ceremony ended and we kissed and exchanged rings.
Everyone then piled into cars a little while after and headed over the Kelly and Deanna Blake's home (Austin's Parents) to have a luncheon.  We decided Navajo Tacos would be pretty easy to do for lots of people so that is what we ended up having. As everyone was enjoying their delish Navajo tacos a storm rolled in. This was not good news since our reception was outside. Luckily, the storm passed pretty quick and nothing was damaged at the reception house. It actually was a good thing, it cooled off the day a little so it would be bearable to stand outside in the evening.

After the luncheon Austin and I took a little snooze. The festivities got us a little tired.

Our reception started at 5. When we got there is was mainly family so i was able to walk around and see how everything had come together.. It was beautiful. Just what i wanted plus some.
The rest of the night was like other wedding evenings. We stood in our line for a while, cut our cake, and danced. It was lovely. We didnt get much food for ourselves, but but from what I understand, it was pretty good, especially the cupcakes, strawberry, chocolate and carrot cake. YUM!

As the night wrapped up I was wondering what was happening to our car out front, I could only imagine it was going to be pretty intense since Austin was the last of 5 boys to get married. Payback was a beast. Not only did they get Austin's truck pretty dang good, they got my lincoln equally as bad since they knew thats what we were taking down to vegas that evening.

All in all that was one of my top amazing days ever! I loved everything and everyone about it and was so grateful that I met Austin and knew I was going to be able to start an amazing life with him!

Thanks for reading! Till next time.

Our Future Little Addition

My first ever blog post! We will see how this goes...
So as all of you know or should know by now, we are expecting our first little one on Dec. 28th 2012.
Austin had 2 nieces born last year in December so we will have 3 little ones celebrating birthdays in December. We are pretty dang excited about what is happening in our lives right now, yet everyone seems to tell us this little babe is going to rock our world. I agree. We found out I was pregnant on Sunday, April 22nd 2012.  I had taken a couple dollar store pregnancy tests the day before and some would have a faint line and others it wouldn't show up till after the 3 minutes. I had no idea what was going on or what test  I
should believe.  I asked Aust if I should go to Target and buy a Pregnancy test, one of the ones that says either "Pregnant" or "Not Pregnant". He said no, but i went anyway.
After lots and lots of pregnancy tests, this is what i came up with.

All of them had a very faint line, then the one at the bottom made it all clear. I am PREGNANT! I am so excited to get to experience this. Austin and i are the last people in his side of the family to start having kids, so, we thought we better get on that.

As for next time!
